The methods of boiler descaling can generally be divided into manual descaling, mechanical descaling and chemical cleaning. Manual descaling, this method relies on manual hammering, scraping, shoveling, etc. to deal with scale, and then rinse and drain. This method has low descaling efficiency and high labor intensity. With the improvement of chemical cleaning technology, it is rarely used at present. Mechanical descaling relies on cleaning tools, such as electric pipe cleaners with electric motors and steel wire soft belts. The physical process of scale treatment is: when the milling cutter installed on the flexible shaft is driven by the motor and rotates with the flexible shaft, the milling cutter contacts the scale, and the milling cutter not only rotates with the flexible shaft, but also moves along the pipe wall to remove the scale. Crush, grind and peel off. The scale in the pipe with a diameter of 35~100mm can be treated. There are two types of chemical descaling: alkaline washing and pickling. The alkali washing method is to inject different types of lye with different concentrations into the boiler, and then boil the furnace under pressure together, usually for 48 hours or a little longer, so as to achieve the purpose of alkali washing. When pickling and descaling, the acid can not only treat the scale on the heating surface of the boiler, but also react with the metal, so that the boiler is corroded or perforated. Therefore, the technical requirements for pickling are relatively high. Without approval, general units and individuals are not allowed to engage in pickling and descaling business. When pickling and descaling the boiler, it must be carried out by a pickling unit with the corresponding pickling level. This pickling unit must have a chemical cleaning permit issued by the Boiler Pressure Window Inspectorate.
